About Me

Welcome to House of Biscotti
Hi, Iβm Carmela! As a proud first-generation American with both of my parents from Sicily, I grew up surrounded by family, tradition, and food. My parents owned and ran an Italian restaurant for 25 years, where I started working at just 8 years old. Those early days taught me the value of hard work, the joy of feeding others, and the importance of keeping tradition alive. My parents are so very proud to be in Americaβmy dad, now a U.S. citizen, is forever thankful for all that this country has given our family.
As a mom of three and a passionate baker, Iβve poured my heart into creating my one-woman, home-based bakery under the cottage food law. House of Biscotti is my way of sharing the joy of baking and the beauty of tradition.
My Passion
Baking has always been more than a hobbyβitβs part of my heritage. I was inspired by my Italian uncle, an extraordinary baker, who taught me to turn simple ingredients into meaningful creations. Every batch I make honors his legacy, my Sicilian roots, and the traditions that sparked my love for baking.
My Treats
I specialize in homemade Italian and American cookies and brownies. Each treat is crafted with the finest ingredients and care to deliver an exceptional experience. Whether itβs a gift, a client surprise, or a special event, my goal is to make every bite a delightful memory.
Honoring Tradition
Every cookie I bake tells a storyβof family, culture, and love. From classic Italian biscotti to American favorites like chocolate chip cookies and brownies, each bite reflects both my heritage and the warmth of homemade goodness. My baking is also a tribute to my parentsβ journeyβrooted in Sicily, grounded in their love for family, and deeply grateful to America for the opportunities it has given us. Each recipe is a blend of old-world tradition and new-world pride.
By choosing House of Biscotti, youβre not just buying a treatβyouβre supporting my dream, my passion, and a little piece of my heart. Thank you for joining me on this sweet journey.
Letβs make life a little sweeter, one cookie at a time. β€οΈ
